FROM THE FIELD
A personal record of learning, making, and raising boys with real skills.

This began as a way to remind myself what I was doing — and why — during a hazier, more directionless era of motherhood. In the middle of cries and late nights, unsure what to make of it all, I wanted to remember the life I was raising. The world we might quietly rewrite. For the child I was, and for the people my children would grow into.
Over time, it became my own kind of classroom. A place where I could see myself more clearly — what I was teaching, what I was repeating, what I was letting go of. It also became a window. Not just into our family life, but into others moving along parallel paths, trying to raise children with more care, more skill, and more intention than the culture makes easy.
